High Precision Laser Scanner
This is a table top unit with integrated motion system and a precision
laser sensor to scan a part. The scanner performs 2D scan of the data. The
output data is a point cloud which can be processed further to extract part
information such as
1) Flatness measurement
2) Groove profiles
3)Thickness at various sections
4) Volume Loss (by comparing multiple scans between testing)
The scanner uses a precision Laser Triangulation Sensor
to capture the depth information as it moves over the part. The Data Acquisition
system synchronizes the depth data & position data to generate an accurate
map of the surface undergoing scan.
